Wes is originally from North Augusta, South Carolina. He attended the University of South Carolina Aiken where he played Division II soccer and received his degree in Communications before going on to get his Master's of Education from the University of Georgia. While at UGA, Wes worked in Student Activities and on the UGA Ropes Course.
Wes came to the CSL in 2005 and currently teaches HPS 1810, KSU 1101 and, in the Spring, will teach LDRS 3000. His teaching and research focus is experiential education and its impact on academic success. Wes is also involved in developing new leadership courses for KSU.
Wes is currently involved in the Association for Experiential Education where he serves as the Chair of the Schools and Colleges Professional Group, a national body aimed at connecting educators with experiential education.
In his free time, Wes enjoys riding bikes, running and reading and hopes to hit the trails soon! |
