| Biography: |
Karen, originally from St. Charles, Missouri, received her B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology from Truman State University. After graduating, she served in Americorps National Civilian Community Corps, a national service program. She later took a position as a Residence Life and Judicial Coordinator at the University of West Georgia where she also received her M.A. in Psychology. While at UWG, she served as co-chair for the Faculty/Staff Responsible Sexuality Committee and as an advisor to student groups. She has a background in Women’s Studies and is proud of her involvement with VDay, a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. In her free time she likes reading, traveling, baking, watching too much TV, and spending time with family and friends. |
